  • Twinning News
    2008 is the year of the 20th anniversary of the twinning between Wigan and the French city of Angers. To mark this anniversary, a local community group from Wigan called the Daisy Chain Stitchers created two tapestries celebrating the two towns.

  • Revaluation Transitional Scheme
    There is a revaluation of non-domestic property every five years, (the last one was in April 2005) and new rateable values are given to each property. Rateable Values normally change a good deal between each revaluation and are often affected by regional variations in the value of property.
